‘Tis the season to support local Scouts who are serving communities through Christmas tree recycling. Here’s how local residents can discover whether local Scouts are serving their neighborhood this year:
Clark County Area
Clark County-area Scouts will be participating in their annual fundraiser to recycle Christmas trees on January 6, 2024. Scout units in the area will be hanging door fliers in their assigned areas to inform residents about the service in the coming weeks.
For those in Clark County who receive a flyer, we ask that live trees be placed outside of their home no later than 8am on January 6th.
If you have not received a flyer by January 1, 2024, please use the following link to find whether Scouts in your area are recycling trees: https://scouttreerecycling.com. This will allow you to enter your address to find the unit servicing your area with contact and donation information to reach out to them.
Please note that not all areas in Clark County are covered this year and flocked trees cannot be recycled.
Portland Metropolitan and Other Areas
Residents in the Portland Metro area can support and find Scout units who are recycling trees this year at https://www.oregonmetro.gov/tools-living/garbage-and-recycling/find-a-recycler
Thank you for supporting your local Scouts!
