Cascade Pacific Council Eagle Scout Association

Eagle Scout Resources

Open to all current adults and former members of the Scouting America residing in Northwest Oregon and Southwest Washington.

Training

It is widely acknowledged that training is crucial, and research supports the importance of having trained leaders. A well-trained leader possesses the necessary knowledge and confidence to perform their role effectively. This expertise and assurance are perceptible to those around them. Trained leaders positively influence the quality of programs, the tenure of both leaders and youth, safety measures, among other aspects. Such leaders are better equipped to maximize the potential of the Scouting program. Regardless of whether one is a unit leader or the Council President of the Cascade Pacific Council, it is imperative that the individuals they collaborate with benefit from a trained leader.

Scouting America Learn Center

   Scounting Alumni Learning Plan

Total time: 67 minutes

Description: The Scouting Alumni Association is pleased to announce that we have updated the six original Scouting Alumni and Friends to the more current Scouting America Alumni Association. There have been many updates to awards, requirements and the Alumni directory portal since the original six courses were developed.

Youth Protection Training

Scouting America has developed a comprehensive and highly effective training program to address all forms of child abuse. This training is a bi-annual requirement for all registered adult members of Scouting America. The program is also available to other youth-serving organizations and the public. It is strongly recommended that alumni take this training, especially if they will be in direct contact with youth. A my.scouting account is required to access the training. If you do not have a my.scouting account, you will need to register before taking the training. Membership in Scouting America is not required to register. The training can be accessed at https://training.scouting.org/home.

Scouting Alumni Directory

Scouting Alumni is thrilled to announce the launch of our innovative Scouting Alumni Directory database crafted to reconnect you with fellow scouting alumni. With our directory, you can seamlessly register, update your scouting history, and personal details, as well as search for alumni using criteria like name, council, unit affiliation, or occupation.

Ready to master the Scouting Alumni Directory? We’ve prepared a comprehensive training module titled “BSA AA SPARK Database General User,” available at the Learning Center. Simply visit https://training.scouting.org, sign in, and navigate to the “Catalog” section to access the SPARK course. If you don’t have an account yet, signing up is easy and open to everyone!
