Build a Lasting Relationship with Your Local School
The Scouting America Adopt-a-School program is an exciting and comprehensive undertaking that will connect Scout units with their associated schools. Participating Scouts then work, within clearly defined guidelines, to partner with school administrators and offer the volunteer services that most effectively meet their schools’ needs, which may include grounds beautification, teacher appreciation, clean-up before or after school events, and/or help during festivals and carnivals.
Through this initiative, Scouting units partner directly with school administrations to provide volunteer services tailored to each school’s unique needs. Units commit to at least one year of service, offering support like ground beautification, event assistance, book drives, and more.
The program aims to create thousands of lasting partnerships that benefit both Scouts and schools. For units, it strengthens their community presence and provides service hour opportunities toward Journey to Excellence. For schools, it offers dedicated volunteer support to enhance student achievement and success.
This collaborative model is a true win-win – Scouts gain impactful service opportunities while schools receive helping hands to improve their campuses and meet goals. The Adopt-a-School program fosters positive change within our local communities by working cooperatively to identify and execute projects.
