Butte Creek Scout Ranch
Dirt washes off… but grit lasts forever.
Welcome to the Wild West!
The moment Cub Scouts step onto Main Street at Butte Creek Scout Ranch, they’re transported to an old frontier town where adventure awaits around every corner. With a Western-style main street, Pony Express mail delivery, and the spirit of the frontier all around, Scouts quickly find themselves imagining life in the days of the Wild West.
As the only Cub Scout horse ranch on the West Coast, Butte Creek offers a one-of-a-kind camp experience. Scouts can ride horses, try their aim at archery and BB targets, explore the outdoors, and gather each evening for hilarious campfire programs—all set in an unforgettable Western-themed adventure.
At Butte Creek Scout Ranch, Cub Scouts build confidence, learn new skills, and grow through hands-on experiences in a safe and exciting environment. It’s a place where friendships form, memories are made, and young Scouts take their first big steps in Scouting.

Butte Creek is a working ranch, and that means plenty of friendly animals to meet along the way. Scouts can spend time visiting with a variety of farm animals and learning what life is like on a real ranch.
