It’s Easy to Add Fishing to Your Scouting Program
And our Angling Committee is Here to Help
Get your Scouts, families and friends “hooked on Scouting” by getting them “hooked on fishing.”
On the Scouting Expedition Podcast, we interviewed our Angling Committee’s Russ Lawrence and Michael Haas who have some great tips on adding fishing to your Scouting fun! (And don’t forget to register for Fishing Fun Day on September 19th, 2026!)
Scout Units: don’t forget to use our “Hooked on Scouting” marketing materials too!
Register for Certified Angling Instructor Training: search the CPC calendar for “angling” or “fishing” for the latest opportunities to become a certified instructor.
Did you know? Each district has rods, reels and a fantastic “backyard bass” game you can borrow! Simply reach out to your District Leaders for more at https://cpcscouting.org/districts
Special thanks to the Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife for their support!
