Camp Pioneer
Where Grit Grows in the Wilderness
Pioneer is where the ordinary ends and the epic begins. Whether you’re questing through immersive roleplay or trekking across volcanic ridgelines, every path leads to personal growth. It’s a place where you’ll crawl through frigid ice caves, summit mountain peaks, or spend hours strategizing around a tabletop—and somehow, it all builds the same Scout skills: teamwork, resilience, and leadership.
At over 4,500 feet in elevation, Camp Pioneer has been a launchpad for adventure since 1936, perched on the shores of Pine Ridge Lake beneath the towering presence of Mount Jefferson. Its remote alpine setting and stunning natural beauty make it unlike any other Scout camp. Here, it’s not about packed merit badge schedules, it’s about experiences that push Scouts to think bigger, go farther, and connect deeper.

- Offer is Unit-based, not by individual.
- Mix & Match: loyalty follows the unit so you can rotate between Baldwin, Meriwether & Pioneer!
- Discounts Apply Automatically! Our system will automatically calculate your early-bird rates and loyalty based on your unit number.

Camp Pioneer provides a traditional rugged mountain camp experience, balanced with modern-day Scouting activities. Scouts practice fundamental Scouting skills such as cooking, pioneering and rowing, alongside modern STEM activities which include engineering, inventing and robotics. Merit badges should be educational and fun in nature.
The camp’s small size is used advantageously to provide a highly-flexible program. Badges are earned through hands-on, collaborative processes that excite and prepare Scouts to apply what they learn. At Camp Pioneer, enjoy both wilderness and STEM-oriented exploration!

Take a major step toward earning Eagle.
Eagle Camp is a focused 3-day experience designed to help Scouts make significant progress on Eagle-required merit badges in a structured, supportive environment. With preparation and commitment, Scouts can earn up to six Eagle-required merit badges during this program.

Cascade Chronicles: Forsaken Kingdom
The story of Forsaken Kingdom takes place exactly one year after Throne Quest. All the guilds of Oregonia are returning to the Kingdom of Jeffersonia, the place they saved a year prior, to celebrate their victory. However, something is off. The king, the merchants, and the townspeople are gone. The kingdom seems to have vanished overnight. Can you and your party save the kingdom once again? Can you figure out the cause of this disappearance before it is too late? Will you fight for good to prevail? Or will the promise of power draw your party into the same darkness that befell the kingdom?
- Turn based combat
- A party based questing system
- Personal levels, experience, and abilities/skills
- A player based economy
